Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

We use only what the service needs to work, or what you ask for. We set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Because of that, we do not show a cookie banner: there is nothing for you to switch off.

1. What cookies and storage are

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. Browser storage works in a similar way. Both are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Cookies that are strictly necessary to give you a service you asked for do not need your consent. Choices that you make yourself, and that we only use to remember that choice, are also fine to keep.

2. What we use

NamePurposeTypeLasts
sb-...-auth-token (cookie, may be split into parts)Keeps you signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase, only when you log in. It holds your sign-in token, not your password. You are signed out after 60 minutes of inactivity.Strictly necessaryUntil you sign out. The cookie itself can stay up to 400 days, but the sign-in inside it expires much sooner.
sb-...-code-verifier (cookie)Set when you ask for a password reset link, so the link can be checked when you open it on the same device.Strictly necessaryRemoved when the link is used, or when it expires
formulary-theme (browser storage)Remembers your light or dark choice. Saved only when you change it yourself.Preference you choseUntil you clear your browser data
formulary-expiry-banner-... (browser storage)Remembers that you closed the access-ending notice, so it does not keep coming back. Saved only when you close it.Preference you choseUntil you clear your browser data
draft:... (session storage)Keeps an answer you have typed but not yet checked, so a refresh does not lose it.Strictly necessaryUntil you close the tab

3. Page and speed measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They do not use cookies or browser storage, and they do not identify you or follow you across sites.

4. Site files saved by your browser

Your browser keeps copies of our site's code and images so pages load faster. A small background script (a service worker) saves only these public files. It never saves questions, answers, pages or anything about you.

5. Payment pages

When you pay, you are sent to a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets its own cookies there, which we do not control. See Stripe's cookie policy.

6. If this changes

If we ever add analytics or other cookies that are not strictly necessary, they will be off until you choose to turn them on, with a clear choice to accept or refuse that is as easy to use as it is to accept. We will update this page first.

7. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and storage in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in. More about how we use data is in the Privacy Policy.
